What To Know

Almond Grove Family Church exists to lead people to find Jesus and follow Him passionately.

We also realise that the vast majority of people in our community don’t attend church, so we’re committed to creating spaces that will inspire the Fleurieu and beyond to be revolutionised with the love of Jesus. Our environments are geared towards helping live a life of meaning and work out what really matters.

Sundays are no different.

We invite you to join us - no need to dress up. Bring the family or a friend - we'd love to meet you!

  • When and where do you meet?

We meet every Sunday morning at 10am, at:

    'The Granary,'

Turn down Old Main South Road, at Goodness Coffee Co. At the bottom of the hill, turn right.

We recommend arriving 20 minutes before services begin.

Perfect. You're in exactly the right place!

We love honest conversations around God and faith, and should feel free to explore faith at your own pace!

Our Beliefs

A statement of faith consists of fundamental doctrines that are considered essential to the life of a believer if they are to become a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ. These beliefs are not exhaustive, so this statement does not represent the full counsel of scripture.

  • About God

We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus Christ is the second member of the Trinity (the Son of God) who became flesh to reveal God to humanity and to become the Saviour of the lost world.

  • About Scripture

We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God and that men were moved by the Spirit of God to write the very words of Scripture. Therefore, we believe the Bible is without error.

  • About The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is a full and equal part of the Trinity. He works in the world to make all people understand their need for Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit lives inside every follower of Jesus from the moment they decide to follow Him, and regenerates them by faith in the accomplished work of Christ.

The Spirit is our power source for life, ministry and spiritual growth. To access the sanctifying and enabling power of the Spirit, we must continually yield to, and be filled with the Holy Spirit.

  • About Humanity

We believe that all people were created in the image of God to have fellowship with him but became alienated in that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, people are incapable of regaining a right relationship with God through their own efforts.

  • About Salvation

We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin. Therefore, God freely offers salvation by His grace to those who place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin.

  • About The Christian Life

We believe all Christians should live for Christ and not for themselves. By obedience to the Word of God and daily yielding to the Spirit of God, every believer should mature and be conformed to the image of Christ.

  • About The Church

We believe that the church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the head. The members of the church are those who have trusted by faith the finished work of Christ. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving him and by making him known to the lost world.

  • About Christ’s Return

God, in His own time and in His own way, will bring the world to its appropriate end. According to His promise, Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly in glory to the earth, the dead will be raised and Christ will judge all men in righteousness.
