A statement of faith consists of fundamental doctrines that are considered essential to the life of a believer if they are to become a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ. These beliefs are not exhaustive, so this statement does not represent the full counsel of scripture.
We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus Christ is the second member of the Trinity (the Son of God) who became flesh to reveal God to humanity and to become the Saviour of the lost world.
We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God and that men were moved by the Spirit of God to write the very words of Scripture. Therefore, we believe the Bible is without error.
The Holy Spirit is a full and equal part of the Trinity. He works in the world to make all people understand their need for Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit lives inside every follower of Jesus from the moment they decide to follow Him, and regenerates them by faith in the accomplished work of Christ.
The Spirit is our power source for life, ministry and spiritual growth. To access the sanctifying and enabling power of the Spirit, we must continually yield to, and be filled with the Holy Spirit.
We believe that all people were created in the image of God to have fellowship with him but became alienated in that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, people are incapable of regaining a right relationship with God through their own efforts.
We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin. Therefore, God freely offers salvation by His grace to those who place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin.
We believe all Christians should live for Christ and not for themselves. By obedience to the Word of God and daily yielding to the Spirit of God, every believer should mature and be conformed to the image of Christ.
We believe that the church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the head. The members of the church are those who have trusted by faith the finished work of Christ. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving him and by making him known to the lost world.
God, in His own time and in His own way, will bring the world to its appropriate end. According to His promise, Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly in glory to the earth, the dead will be raised and Christ will judge all men in righteousness.
A loving husband and proud father of 3 beautiful girls, David has a heartfelt connection to the Fleurieu, having grown up in Aldinga. His passions include bridging timeless teaching with modern challenges, helping people take their best next step and seeing families thrive.
Food is his love language, particularly when paired with anything relating to (nearly) any sport.
A Tassie native, Liv is passionate about the future of our community, where she has lived for over 13 years. She loves partnering with parents to help them win with their kids in life and in faith.
She is wife to David, mum to Hannah, Sarah and Esther, and loves getting outdoors in nature, and exploring new places.
